Hazard Lights turn on when driving

The hazard lights come on intermittently while driving, usually two flashes as though I've just locked the car. They also come on when I operate the o/s electric windows or try to adjust the wing mirrors. I also have a problem with the central locking - the car reopens itself a couple of seconds after I lock it.
Seems to be something to do with the locking system, just need to know where to start.

You need to check the wiring in the door gaitors.  (Drivers side most likely as that door contains controls for all the bits you have the problems with but it could be any including the rear hatch - which is the one on the right).  The wires are very prone to failure in the rubber boot.  Yours sounds as though it should be obvious with insulation split and wires shorting together. Wires may have failed inside the insulation which usually stops stuff working but shouldn't give your symptoms so you really need to do a continuity test with a resistance meter.  Voltage at either end is no proof as under load part failed wires offer a higher resistance and "drop" voltage.
