Handsfree kit - how to wire for "Mute" on Ford's 6006M?

Hi.

I'm assuming that the 6006M doesn't have a dedicated "Mute" wire as I can't find any info anywhere.

I want to connect my Nokia CK-7W Bluetooth Handsfree kit in the Galaxy, that has the Ford 6006M head unit and I need the mute wire from the Nokia kit to mute the car radio when a call comes in, like it did in the Passats.

Is there an easy way to wire this up to work and which stereo wires would I hack?

It's on the yellow connector, needs a ground. IIRC the pin-outs are already in the Reference Library

Looked on the Library but it doesn't show the yellow connector, which on my radio, only has one wire connected, a purple one.  all other connector ports are empty.

Ah-haaa! Adding a wire, that's just not cricket.

Out of interest, what is the "VSS Signal for AVC" connection, I assume that's the purple one that I've got connected?

My GUESS is Vehicle Speed Signal for Auto Volume Control......and it really is a guess!

He is indeed correct about the mute wire location and now my handsfree kit works a treat.

So ,could you mute tge radio when reverse is selected with this connector
Turning the switch is soooo old fashioned

You could indeed, or the PDC mute (although untested)

Or looking at the pic presumably you could do sonething with the parking aid mute pin? How tho lol
Ps what s pdc (parking distance control) if so would answer my own question !

Indeed! Theoretically, it needs a ground attached and it should mute.

Ahhhh!but fed from where? Would tge buzzer cable from the pdc control have enuff voltage?

No, nor the switch LED signal.
Take a supply from the reverse light signal and then use a relay to switch a ground loop (assuming that's what it needs - someone needs to test!) or use it as a direct feed if it wants 12V
