hi everyone this might sound really stupid but that's me lol but here goes I recently bought a 1999 galaxy 2.3 zetec auto (privately) and I've noticed that I cant seem to feel the gears changing and while on a dual carriageway I got to around 55mph and the rev counter was on 4500rpm would this mean the auto gearbox is repairable or does it mean I need to replace it ? cheers rob

Everything is repairable, its just limited by cost!! First, assuming the mk1 has it, its not in sport mode is it? Next try a fluid change as that has been known to fix countless auto faults ;)
