Hi can anyone help. I have looked at the FAQ to enabling fuel range to empty. The FAQ says to change field row 410 coloumn 06 it says the field says c1 and you need to change it to e1. The problem is mine is showing 08. Does anybody know if this can be enabled an if so what field do I change and what do I put in

Thank you

What program are you using to read the EEPROM? 416 will only be applicable if you have set the offset to HEX or 16Bit so ensure you have done that correctly first. If so then the earlier car's (<03) have been known to have some different values to C1 but 08 isn't one I've seen before.

In reality, providing you are looking at 416, then it's unlikely to do any damage if you do decide to change this value. Ensure you have a full copy of your existing EEPROM and you should be able to reload it in the event it won't work anyway.

Hi my ford galaxy is a 1.9tdi 115bhp on a 02 reg.
the program I am using to read the EPROM is HxD.
It is set to 16 bit, ANSI, hex. Field 416 has 08 in it. What do you think is should change it to.

Thanks

If you have 08 in Field 416, then you should change it to 28.  You will be changing the same location listed in Mirez's document from 0 to 1 by doing this.
Like Mirez says make sure you keep a copy of your original EEPROM, you can always put it back.
