I noticed yesterday when my wife reversed onto our drive we had no reversing lights I checked the bulbs and were OK but that's as far as my electric knowledge go's I'm afraid, so any help would be appreciated....

Most likely you will have broken wiring in the tailgate gaiter also check fuse 5

sounds like broken wires. check you rear wiper ect too as there will be at least 1 broken wire in the loom.recently repaired mine and there was 6  :o
