Just in the middle of trying to remove this unit but  I'm stuck, I have taken all the buttons out heated windscreen and the rest removed the air con controls the cup holders the two screws above the cup holders but the MFD won't budge.

When i slide in the 4 removal keys it feels as though it hits something solid behind,in some pics I've seen it looks as though there is a metal surround around it that can be removed when you push on the tabs where the 4 keys go.Something you cannot  do when it's fitted in the car because you can only just see the bottom 2

There isnt a cage on the Galaxy, it locks to the facia so you just need to release the clips. There are 3 different style locking keys (all fit) but only one operates the mechanism correctly so check you have the right style!!

When you insert the "keys" remember to push them outwards ie left and right as you pull.
On the Square

Well I've had another go tonight but the keys don't seem to push far enough through the facia to the release clips or maybe it's just me.

I've seen this pic and wondered about that silver piece, could that be stopping the keys from sliding in and reaching the release clips?
Because none of the keys seem to go in further enough top right down to the bottom on both sides.
