Hi everyone, I am just posting this to show what I've found out about my recently purchased ford galaxy.

Mostly thanks to this forum, I've found the means and the information to do all this, and for that I am very grateful.

Here is a link to my website with information retrieved from VCDS
https://server.yourchat.co.uk/ford/galaxy/mk2/vcds/

Also I have recently taken photos of my stereo back just for future reference! Not sure what the red block is for but it looks a mess.

and also just tonight found 2 cables below the parking sensor button behind the blanking plates, to which I assume they are for a stereo or some such device as one looks like an aerial connection.

Thanks for looking, comments / ideas about anything here gratefully received.
Kind Regards,

Security risk eh? That's weird, the page loaded fine in IE and chrome, what sort of risk? The folder on my server only has pictures in it.  Oh well...I know there is no risk. Anyone else?
Kind Regards,

Also would it be possible for someone more knowledgeable than I to have a quick look at my VCDS page from my first post and see what you think?

Many thanks

As would be expected you have recently bought a car with old fault codes, you have now cleared the codes and one has returned on the rear heater flap.
This is located behind the N/S arch trim panel
I wouldn't worry about the others unless they come back, if you wish you can search the ross tech site with the code for a description but they are basically faults with the key fob and battery and flame outs on booster heater which could simply have been low on diesel facing downhill, 5 simultaneous flame outs will cause a lock out.
And a faulty parking sensor or wiring.

Give the car another scan after a few days see if anything has returned

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

As expected...the much more knowledgeable Chris had a look! Thanks for looking :)

Yeah I was gonna give it a week and then re-scan, currently all that's come back  as of today is the key fob error (this time with "Key 2" and not "Key 1") and the "Rear Air Distribution Flap Motor" (I'll take that panel off today and give it a looksy...)

I did have a browse of the ross-tech wiki and understood 95% of what it explained.

Note: The key fob has been weird, It wasn't getting good range (approx. 15 feet) so I changed the battery, within the time window, and the range is now about 10 feet...which surely with a new battery should increase the range? *smacks it*
TBH not really bothered, working is working.
Kind Regards,
