Hi Gang!
The AC has never worked on the car, the panel just flashes. Its not been a problem for the little use it gets but recently we've had a few spectators suffer heat related problems so putting them into a hot car sint ideal!!

I have read up on the normal cause and its leaking as expected.from under the cap. The problem is that I've no idea how long its not worked so is aomething else likely to have broken in the meantime?

Well the compressor can seize if it's not been used for an extended period, also the gas contains oil which keeps the seals lubricated.

That said, it's such a slow leak and the system isn't really open in the true sense that causes so many problems with A/C. I would suspect you'll be fine for a repair (just don't quote me lol!)
