Rear washer malfunction

First post for help!
Have a problem with no washer liquid spraying onto the rear screen - when i pull the arm by the steering wheel it clearly sounds as if something is "pumping" and working but no water is ejected.

I also have a fault with my parking sensors which i know can be linked but i have no water under the passenger footwell (can be a fault) and have identified 1 sensor that needs replacing.

If anyone can help with the rear washer fault would be most helpful and exactly what i need to look at to rectify it in lamens terms,

Check under the front passenger seat and see if there is water underneath it in the cavity. If there is dry it out first as there is electrical equipment under there which can be damaged. Are you sure there is no water in the foot well. As you may have read on the forum, there is a junction in the trim along the bottom of the passenger door opening. When this leaks the water goes into the sound proofing sponge which has a waterproof top surface so the carpet doesn't get wet till this is thoroughly soaked.

There is another junction in the d pillar. The very back one on the passenger side containing the top mounting for the very rear seatbelt. Mine also came apart here. When this one came apart water leaks into the left hand boot cubby hole and then into the boot carpet.

I have also seen it detached in the rear hatch where it joins onto the wiper motor.  When it leaks here it pumps into the rear hatch and water can drip from the bottom of this when you open it.

I understand it can detach at the bottle, in which case I would expect to see water under the car after you have tried to use it, though it may soak into the sound deadening in the under engine tray.

Finally the impeller could have come off the pump and though it is spinning it may not be "pushing" the water........always assuming there is water in the bottle!

It may just simply be the jet is blocked but is more usual to be one of the things Silverbeast has mentioned

Just to update you - solved the problem! Followed silverbeast's procedure and found that it was a disconnected tube in the lower door passenger seal housing - have absolutely no idea how and why this happened but i'm guessing maybe frost during ownership of the last car freezing the pipe causing a pressure surge? anyhow - clicked it back together and used up a whole roll of kitchen paper soaking up what i could from underneath the front passenger footwell carpet - still didnt touch the sides and a bit worried how its going to all dry up!! suggestions?? many thanks for a solved problem and a squirting rear washer!! thanks silverbeast!

Newspaper is the best IMO for drying it all up, I've also used a couple of spray can lids to hold the carpet up and allow air to circulate over a few days.

If you haven't done so already it's a good idea to cable tie the joint or use amalgamation tape to prevent it happening again.

I stuffed a towel under the sound deadening.  Stood on carpet.  Removed towel and wrung out.  Repeat lots of times or until you can't feel your hands......

I then propped up the sound deadening with some blocks of wood and used an old tumble drier flexible vent pipe to direct hot air from a fan heater underneath.  Left over night.  Two nights running at least.  Left deadening propped up while driving round for a couple of weeks (it's only me in it most of the time).  That got rid of most of it.  Then had enough so put it back down and hoped.....

hi i had the same problem, disconected hose in passanger footwell, connected that back up and still didnt work so i took the boot interior cover off an the water comes out of the rear of the wash jet what is the best thing to clear the jet out with.

if its solid then I doubt you'll unblock itbut IPA or some descaling chemicals probably best

Sorry to drag up an old post but my rear washer works however water can be seen running down the inside of the tailgate (central) I expect its got a small split where it connects to the wiper. Can someone tell me how to remove the tailgate trim? I don't want to break anything (clips etc)
