Front door wiring loom

Hi, How do you disconnect the wiring loom for the front door from the door pillar? I can see what looks like a plug and socket with a lugged ring.
Any help would be appreciated.

The lugged ring needs to be undone (anti-clockwise) which will rotae the mechanism with it and disconnect the plug - it's fairly easy to remove to be honest. Putting it back together's the nightmare!
