Towbar and vcds

I fitted a witter detachable towbar at the weekend coupled with an oem 13s wiring kit. Even has vw stamped on the 13 pin plug. . Bought off eBay for around 50 quid. Bargain!

Everything went well, thanks to the guides on here. The only problem I have is the vcds coding. I have managed to get the tell tale working on the dash thanks to the vcds guide, but I cannot code the parking sensors as described in the guide. I am using a cheap kkl cable off eBay with vcds lite. I have used this cable for over 10 years now with no problems whatsoever.

The instruction with the oem wiring kit kind of state that you have to press the parking sensor button to deactivate them.  Would be cool if I could program them to deactivate when my bike rack is attached.

Have you run the extra wire to the PDC controller? Coding on it's own isn't enough - it has to see the ground loop to know something is connected!
