Galaxy MK2 Gear Selector Cable adjustment

Hello all, just about finished swapping out a knackered pd130 for a decent donor engine and box but the gear cables need adjusting. Never done this before so was wondering if anyone has any experience or how-to guide  on setting them up? Am I right in thinking that the gear stick needs locking? Cheers, Chris

Sorted. The cables are easy to unlock by pulling against the spring toward the linkages then twisting to lock in position. Found the little plastic locking lever on the gearbox and used a 4.5mm drill bit to lock the shifter. The cables are easy to reset then by simply untwisting and they spring back holding the cables in place.
