Alhambra 2018 2.0 tdi - Front bottom arm rear bushes broken

30,000 miles. Failed MOT on bushes being cracked, any one else had this problem.
I do tow a caravan.

That is really low mileage for bushes, providing nose weight is not exceeded and what your carrying in the car is not excessive shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe an OTT Mot tester?

Apologies for being a bit late entering this discussion. I have described changing the bushes of the front lower control arm on our 09 Alhambra elsewhere on this forum. If you hit the pothole hard enough, the rear bush in the lower control arm is severely punished. Furthermore, even though it is tightly clamped, the steel core of the rear bush can move and if it does not return to its proper position, it means that the spoked rubber bush is not then carrying an even load all the way around, ie one side will be in compression, the other in tension, so if the rubber is going to tear, it will tear.
Having said all that, I do wonder whether the later models have a different rear bush arrangement, referred to sometimes as a 'consol' bush(?).
