hello on my galaxy 1 phase 2 of 2005, I have an infiltration at the level of the left rear hatch; I checked the seal, it looks correct, and I put silicone around the accordion sleeve; here are the photos of the water entry point thank you

I'm guessing you mean water is leaking in through that joint? The boot (accordian sleeve) doesn't look quite right to me, are you sure its fully clipped into the car body and the rubber bit is fully onto the end plastic cap?

yes the water is seeping in but I don't know exactly where; initially I found the wet carpet in the small trunk and I took the accordion sleeve apart and I coated it with silicone gasket and after having put it back in place correctly I surrounded it with silicone gasket; so the carpet was no longer wet, but now the water is flowing through the body as in the picture

Does the rear washer pipe go through that gaiter?
I'd rather be on Orkney!

yes absolutely, but this is not the cause because infiltration only occurs when it rains

Looking at location of the water ingress I would say it's either coming in through the rubber gator, getting under the aperture seal where it slides over the body or there is a poorly sealed panel join in the tailgate aperture.

thanks for the reply, let's say the accordion seal has been fully lined with silicone; bodywork welding problem it is possible also I will study this possibility; it is complicated

Does your Galaxy have a sunroof? Just in case its leaking through the drain hose, I know a few have them, but never had one with sunroof to know if the hoses go that far back?

thanks, no sunroof just roof side strips
I tried to see the place of the fall in the upright with a micro camera, but it's difficult to access, I might make a hole with a drill to see better

Before making a hole, find a bottle (washing up liquid or similar will do nicely) and fill with water, then try working around your suspected areas on the outside to see how high you get to before it starts leaking. Or a watering can might work. Best if you can have someone sat inside the car whilst you do it, and work from the bottom upwards. Bear in mind that it might take a few moments for water to appear inside so work slowly up the bodywork to see if you can locate the leak better. There shouldn't be water getting that far inside the car.

Was the inside of the boot wet when you took it out? from memory it relies on the lip of the boot being over the plastic cap to seal against the body work, been a while since i had mine apart.

thank you ; no the interior did not seem wet; the lip was cracked and I put a lot of black silicone gasket all around; since that no longer flows on the carpet at the bottom from the inside, but above by the body as in the photo! thank you
