My Sharan passed it?s MOT with an advisory for a leaking rear shock. I?ve looked online and there are several retailers offering shocks at a wide range of prices. I?m minded to avoid the cheapest but hard to know which offers the best value for money.

Can anyone recommend a supplier they?ve used and received a decent rear shock at a reasonable price? Also any to avoid?

Thanks Dave

The rears are so easy to do on these you don't have to worry too much about false economy as there isn't the massive time cost associated with stripping everything down.

Bilstein and Sachs are good manufacturers that are easy enough to source, I would avoid the budget ones from Eurocarparts as they tend to last for the warranty period + 1 day!
