Hi everyone, I had the air conditioning on my Alhamb re-gassed today. They said there wasn't enough coolant because the other fast-fit garage which has fancy equipment didn't understand that the Alhamb has TWO evaporators and so needs more coolant.

They also said it has no leaks apparently (their machine does a pressure test I think).

The AC on these cars is very good isn't it!

What lovely comfortable cars they are.

I highly recommend the Alhamb to any person who is interested in having a large, spacious, comfortable and practical motor car.

I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

Also a reliable one too.

By the way did u know that the AC is useful during the winter months too because it stops the windows misting up. Fancy that!

I found the air con in mine to be rather poor due to size of the vehicle,it couldnââ,¬â,,¢t cope that well in hot weather.

Air con will only work in winter if itââ,¬â,,¢s above 5 degrees, below that compressor is inhibited to prevent freezing

Thank u. Have u considered getting the car re-gassed? It could be that there isn't enough refrigerant in it, causing it to operate inefficiently. Apparently the refrigerant system is like tyres, even though u don't actually have a major puncture or leak, they do need topping up from time to time

I donââ,¬â,,¢t have the car anymore but I changed the receiver/dryer cartridge and had it gassed up. System worked as it should it was just a bit weak for the car,was only the single system on mine though

With the double system u get 50% more ââ,¬Ëœoomphââ,¬â,,¢ I am told
