My car is: Ford Galaxy
GALAXY

Year of construction July 2005
Version MPV
Doors 4Dr
Engine type Petrol
Power 103 kW
Engine code E5SB
Cylinder capacity 2,295 cc
Vehicle color BLACK

The central door lock does not work properly, if I want to open the car
with the key, the driver's side remains closed, I have to open it
manually with the key. then close manually again with the key, which
sometimes does not work. Because the red LED on top of the door no
longer burns, the alarm sometimes goes off when I check whether the door
is really closed. The lock with motor already 3 times replace that is
a whole, we think it is not, the garage had checked the wiring and could
not find anything I was told that the cdv module was broken but I do not
even know if it is in this type. please can tell me something about this
weird error, i did this via google my apologies if that's why there is
a writing error in it. Thanks in advance, MJ

Check the door wiring again - All 4 doors and the boot or tailgate. The bits that break are in the rubber boots, you can pull them back to inspect and check them.

If its not there, then also check the plug for the drivers door is fully pushed home - the bits that make up the connector can come seperate from the rest of it.

Otherwise your down to looking at the wiring diagram and tracing faults. I think you can prove your door lock works correctly by plugging it into the other door on the front if you want to rule it out. Just use a screwdriver to operate the catch mechanism to the closed position before attempting to lock.

The LED on the door not working probabbly indicates either its not plugged into the loom (theres a connector on the wire that pulls off when you remove the door card) or theres a break in the wire to it.

This https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/ford-galaxy-common-faults-and-problems/ford-galaxy-repairing-broken-door-wiring/ Might help.

Check the tailgate in the same fashion. Only the righthand side has wires in it (at least thats the case on a UK spec car, As far as I know the LHD keeps the same layout, the other side only having the washer hose run through it)

I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

Hey
Indeed I found a loose wire I had no 12 volts on the plug of the lock motor, this turned out to be hanging loose in the rubber and had broken off from the lower plug with plugs. I think the red / white wire plug in the sleeve is best and also in the plug that hangs on the chassis and a new wire through it and then connect it with clamps. If anyone has a better idea, I'd love to hear it, thanks in advance.

You would be better to solder and insulate wire if possible

The pin into the worm wheel is broken on iron,so i must make an hole for an new wire into the rubber and the two parts of the worm wheels.
