Ford Galaxy - Water under the driver's footwell

Ford Galaxy 2004 auto

I have water appearing under the carpet in the driver's footwell and wonder if someone could kindly suggest the causes of it.  I will also appreciate any advice.

There are a few possible causes.
Blocked scuttle drains, causing rainwater to flood the heater air intake.
Leaking body seams.
Rot/corrosion behind wheel arch liners.
Heater matrix, Loss of coolant into car. Do you have to top up coolant regularly?
Windscreen bonding breaking down allowing water in.
You really need to get the carpet and underlay up to observe if water is running down from high up or though rusty floor/body seams

The smell of it should give away if its coolant. Assuming it's a right hand drive then the rear  windscreen washer isn't on that side so that can be ruled out.

If the scuttle panel isn't installed, that can cause water to end up in the car, most likely the area behind it has blocked up and filled with water. If so it's relatively easy to fix as said above. I'd check that first as it's fairly easy to remove the scuttle to look, just 3 10mm bolts hold it in place.

The small quarter light windows have also been known to allow water to enter if they are slightly loose.

Those quarter lights don't open. Its the little triangular ones next to the wing mirror thats being advised to check there.

Ah gotcha, I did think it didnââ,¬â,,¢t make sense, I was thinking of the rear windows which open an inch or two at the back (kind of like little gills on the car)

I wonder if getting a friend to hose the car down with it on jet mode while u sit inside looking for leaks might help

My top tip for checking if something is leaking is to dry it off and then use really thin toilet roll sheets to see if it gets damp again quickly, it usually becomes quite apparent from that (instead of touching and wondering is that wet or just cold etc)

I've had the similar issue in my car. I don't know if it is never happened to someone else the same issue in the same way.
I've removed the old sealant, cleaned the zone, applied some 2k primer and re-sealed.

Have you checked the front scuttle area for blocked drains? Thats the most likely cause and easy to fix.

Nope,
I've cleaned all the drains but at the end I wasn't able to find why the water enter in that point.
I think the problem can be in the cavity behind the strut spring but is quite impossible to access.
After the sealant treatment no more water inside.

Cant help but think you have treated the symptom but the cause is still there to come back and not you further down the line with corrosion issues. To get water there can only really be windscreen seal, 1/4 light seal,scuttle drain or a bulkhead grommet in my opinion
