Hi guys,

Recently I taken off the passenger headlight (standard, non-xenon) and I've noticed a ripped cable, probably eaten by rats or cats. Can you help me identify what is this cable for? I driven this car for a few miles only and I haven't noticed any electric malfunctions.
The cable is just behind the headlight, below the battery, then goes through the wall and then towards back of the car.
Do you know what is it for?

Dunno.
Headlight levelling maybe?
If you can identify the colours inside the tube or where they terminate
it would help

I think you will find thats the cruise control pump cable.
See this

Can't see if you have a pump there, but thats where it should live in the passenger side wing. Do you have any controls on the indicator stalk that don't appear to do anything (labelled res/Set + and on/off on a slider)?

Doesn't look like the car has Cruise, plus that's a vac system which isn't conduited.

I suspect you'll find that cable heads off to the indicator side repeater on the passenger wing  :P

If it is that, then there should be 2 cables there, a Brown and and Black/White coloured one according to TIS. As you say no sign of the cruise pump there so would assume it doesn't have one.

Also looks like someone has removed one of the A/C pipes looking at the front grille?

At least the indicator is easy to check though

2.3 has an odd AC setup tbh, I know the pipe you're kn about but I dont think its present on that setup as its routed a different way.

The repeater wiring is the only thing that should be present in that void other then CC for petrols. CC wiring is all at the front though so doesnt head that far back.
