@Mirez

I would like to close all windows as well when close car with remote controll.
Possible for Mk2 Galaxy (2002) this feature? I have VCDS..

Previously I have Golf4 and this feature is worked...

Ehhhh. I want mine to do that when I double lock thr car.

I also want mine to tooty toot the horn when it locked successfully so I donââ,¬â,,¢t have to tug on handles and check.

Would be good if it could fold back wing mirrors at same time too!

LOL

Ohh, You're is a very funny man,  you made my day. Thanks for useful reply as well..

I think u can make it honk and fold mirrors back, not sure about winding windows up tho. I know u can wind them all down automatically by holding down the open door button for 5 seconds or so tho. I tried holding down the lock button but it didnââ,¬â,,¢t wind them back up again. Not sure if it is a configurable setting

Hey Guys,

So window closing on lock IS possible but not with VCDS (The feature is called Global Closing btw). Global opening is enabled by default so you can put the windows down but the option to close them was disabled in firmware at the factory for safety reasons, sadly you can't turn the function on in VCDS because its disabled, so you have to enable it first which will require a copy of VDS=Pro, a fairly old beast that runs in MS-DOS so you'll need a suitably old laptop to run it!

Tooty-Toot as you call it (Audible Locking Confirmation as the pro's call it ;) ) is available on VCDS, you can turn the function on easily but it uses the alarm horn on these so it's a very loud beep, just like if you pressed the horn and not a very pleasing sound!

Finally no, auto folding mirrors isn't an option on Mk1/2 Sharan or the Alhambra, the Galaxy never even came with Folding mirrors so you would have to retrofit them from the VW or SEAT first. The software doesn't have the capability though for the function however you can add the ability with a couple of relays fairly easily ;)

So much deep knowledge here, so impressive, thank you very much indeed for such a compressive answer!!

I think I will try and get a (legal obviously lol) copy of this useful sounding VCDS software, it sounds really handy and would be useful to enable ââ,¬Å"Audible Locking Confirmationââ,¬Â hehe. I had something similar for a Ford Focus once, it was called ELMCOM or something like that and it was really nifty, I had hours of fun changing all the various settings and even made it so the car now lights up an arrow on the dashboard when it thinks u should change up a gear to save petrol.

It has also reminded me I should change the battery on my key fob soon

cheers [THANKS]
