Never had this hassle I used Euros last time, been neglecting the car for my bike as of recent so itââ,¬â,,¢s time for pads and discs.

Rears are only coming up one type and size, but fronts are coming up with 3 types:
284/300/330 (which I understand)

Are all the rears identical?
Anyway simple to identify if not?

Fairly sure they are all identical unless you had the 4x4 version.
03 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI 115 Ghia in Spruce Green Metallic
With cream leather interior, Full Bodykit, Remapped at 145bhp, Lowered on 18's
17 Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 Diesel in Slate Blue
262Bhp AWD and Factory fresh...for now!
58 Ford Transit 2.2 TDI 115 in Frozen White
With retrofitted everything except another slidey door! :)
LAUNCH X431 Pad PRO - Scanning & Coding for all makes and models done in Wiltshire in exchange for winegums! :)

So new pads and discs were fitted today!

Slider pins were a ââ,¬Ëœlittleââ,¬â,,¢ stuck, but all good after a scrub, degrease and re-grease!

Definitely see 2 new rear callipers in the future!
Had a new front near side about 2 years and itââ,¬â,,¢s already a clip.
May buy cheap callipers and refurb the ones I have, then replace.
Any preferences on callipers for brands?

Itââ,¬â,,¢s also cured my ââ,¬Ëœleft-pullââ,¬â,,¢, too...
Which was weird, because it only started when I got new brakes last time and this time itââ,¬â,,¢s stopped!

Rears were in a shocking state, but fronts had loads of meat on pads, but had huge cracks down the centres some how. 🤷‍♂️

The rear calipers fitted to most of them were made by Lucas I think, whereas the fronts are ATE. I changed a rear caliper a few years back due to binding (the dust seal had been split by some previous 'repairer') only to find that the cause of the binding was the handbrake cable not releasing fully! Due to recent events my Galaxy hasn't been driven much and after being laid up I noticed the handbrake was sticking on the other side causing the brake to run hot, it's definitely the caliper this time as I renewed the cables after the last fiasco! The caliper I bought last time was branded as TRW but used a remanufactured Lucas casting so was pretty much a remanufactured OE caliper, they can be found on [eBay] for around Ã,£60 if you search.

I had a front pad collapse on me last year, they must have been poor quality aftermarket replacements because although they hadn't worn out the friction material had started to separate from the backing plate allowing rust to form between the two materials, over time working inwards until the friction material separated completely from the backing (on the nearside inner pad) and my brake pedal went to the floor! Upon inspection, the other pads were going the same way! Shocking.

I recently rebuilt my front calipers after noticing the nickel plating on the pistons was pitting and corrosion was starting to work its way down towards the sealing surface, old vs. new below.
