Hi all, hope everyone is keeping safe. I have a 2016 smax which I believe is a 2nd gen. I am trying to gain access to the speaker wires but have no clue as to how to remove the radio/heater/satnav panel to get to the wiring. Or failing that I could go to the door speakers but again I have no clue how to remove the door cards apart from the 2x 7mm bolts along the bottom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Iââ,¬â,,¢m fairly new to the smax so Iââ,¬â,,¢m still learning. Thanks

Iââ,¬â,,¢ve noticed there are a couple of bolts behind the lid that opens to where the 12v socket is along with the USBââ,¬â,,¢s and sd slot but I donââ,¬â,,¢t know how to remove the lid to get to the bolts

Basic precis for removing fascia to access head unit and for door cards.

Head unit
Pull the gaiter surround up around the gear lever.  Remove.
Starting at the back, pull the central binnacle top up until you are at the gear lever, then pull it backwards.  It is only clipped on and should all remove.
Using a credit card, remove the triangular shapes either side of head unit.
You should now have exposed four (I think) screws that will undo and allow you to remove the surround of the head unit.
Once that is out of the way, four more screws holding in the unit are visible.  The unit then slides out easily.

Door cards
Remove all screws around edges.
Remove the small circular cover and screw underneath that is behind the door handle.
Prise the armrest metallic piece out from the underneath and take out the screw(s?) behind that.
Pull the bottom of the card away from the door and it should lift away from the top.

Refitting is the reverse of the above.  _Think_ I have remembered all fixings but not guaranteed.  There are plenty of videos online - I think Mondeo IV is similar if not identical.
