Hello ...hope you are all well.

I was after some advice please.

For some reason our galaxy interior turned in to some sort of stinking mold farm over the christmas period. Which has prompted us to bring our T4 back on the road...which we love.

I was about to tow it to the scrapy the other day...but now Im wondering weather it worth more in parts etc.

It has had a recent ish turbo refurb ...mentioned in one of my previous posts on here some time back....engine is pretty solid etc.

Just wondered what your thoughts were please ?

Thank you
Daniel

You probably would get more for it by parting out if you have the space and time to do it,not to mention the patience for dealing with idiots online trying it on........ especially the eBay lot.

I've broken a LOT of these over the years but the market has died away quite significantly.

There is still money in them but things don't sell quickly anymore and you need lots of little sales to start generating a decent total as the 'big wins' (engine, wheels, seats) aren't so big anymore! I still get enough interest but its from repeat customers rather then new leads.

1) Other then the mould, whats up with it?
2) Where abouts in the SW are you?

PM me if its easier, I'm always interested in them :)

Thank you both for your replies....

I'll have a little think...I do have a yard I can use....not sure I can be bothered with all the stress of it...but I'll have a think.

Bit of rust here and there on arches...nothing terrible...but its starting to show...like I said mold all over the interior....uses a bit of oil...stereo broken...thats about it really....goes fine.

Im in the Newton abbot area...

Thank you

Just get some fairy liquid and a good cloth and give it a bit of a scrub. Spray it down with dettol and leave it in the sun for a few days to dry out. Might not look perfect but it sounds like a fine car so why get rid of it just because of a bit of mould?
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
