My 2007 Galaxy has an annoying fault where the LCD display disappears for differing lengths of time but it does eventually return without seemingly to have lost any information eg both mileage readings ie odometer and trip readings.

Any ideas? [bash]

Probably needs to be reflowed by an electronics professional. I had the same problem and reflowing worked a charm.

Without wishing to sound negative, itââ,¬â,,¢s a 13 year old car. Just use the main trip counter near the speedo and forget about gimmicks like MPG readings. No idea how much it would cost to fix but it sounds like pulling the dashboard out and getting someone to do some fiddly resoldering on the display. Why not just forget about needing superfluous information such as engine runtime and just put the money towards the next car instead. He he
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
