does my galaxy have an alternator clutch pulley or not?

I read online that a chirping sound on the galaxy usually means that the alternator clutch pulley is broken. I disassembled everything to get to the alternator pulley and upon inspection my pulley does not look like the various clutch pully's sold for the galaxy. my pulley has the insert for the T-50 but not for special spline tool. instead around the T50 insert there is what I believe to be a 24mm nut. I'm very confused as to whether my galaxy has an alternator pulley or not and would be thankful for any info on this pulley. Also, I have a 1996 ford galaxy with a 1Z tdi motor.

Don't know on the pulley, but if its not a clutch type pulley, either the idler or tensioner pulleys can make chirping sounds when the bearings in them are starting to give up. The tensioner one is not available seperately from the tensioner, but if its only the pulley you need, then the idler one will fit on the tensioner (this isn't obvious by most of the parts catalogues).

I doubt yours has an overrunning pulley at that age. I bet the chirping noise is the tensioner spring gone weak. My old 1.9 had alternator pulley fail but also the tensioner which caused a chirp noise

ok I'm going to have a look at the belt tensioner. thank you both, I'll post the fix if I find it.
