My new(to me) galaxy MK3 struggles to start in cold mornings. If i set the ignition key to on-off few times without turning the engine. It starts fine. This led me to believe it could be weak/bad glow plugs. Correct me if you think it could be something else.

Can someone point me to the location of glowplugs on MK3 2015 galaxy please? And whether it is a simple task of unscrewing and putting in new ones. I opened the bonnet expecting to be easy to find but couldn't.

Ford dealership wants Ã,£55 to connect the reader before doing anything to it. (No engine lights/errors on dash board)

If itââ,¬â,,¢s the 2.0tdci they are down back of the engine and access is limited, egr cooler, brake fluid res need removing.

Go careful though as they are prone to snapping on those engines.

Well, that would be far fetched for my limited diy skills then. Do you or anyone here know approximate fitting cost?

It is not a huge problem for me. But am worried it might lead to other problems due to bad starts in morning.

Many thanks

At a complete guess I would say 2-300 pound assuming they come out ok. If they bust you could be looking down the barrel of Ã,£1k plus at a garage to remove the head. Unless they get one of those specialists in who can extract broken plugs access permitting
