I think you can do certain amount of coding but it is ââ,¬Ëœasbuiltââ,¬â,,¢ anything else requires reprogramming which forscan is not able to do.

So to sum up if it came from factory like it you can recode.

Whatââ,¬â,,¢s the problem with BCM?

Oh no, BCM failure is like a dealer only job and we all know what theyââ,¬â,,¢re like when it comes to charging for ââ,¬Å"interestingââ,¬Â problems :(

As suggested, Iââ,¬â,,¢d try and see if you can get a pre-programmed one
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

They want a grand plus coding. I dont no If my bcm can be coded. Just dont want to pay that price...

It's the information I'm looking for as well.

Try ECU testing ltd and BBA reman, not sure if they can code a new one but they can certainly test and repair or exchange the BCM (if your one is dead it may not be possible to clone an exchange until call them and ask, the fee to investigate is not much, around Ã,£50).
