Hi there,

I'm new on this forum, and come from Macedonia.
I own 2013 S-MAX, 2.2 button starting, automatic.
This morning, i was not able to unlock my car. Couple of months i have replaced battery in key.
By the way, car has button starting, without classical key. Only key as remote.
Now car is locked, and gearshift is in parking position.
Anyone help?

With keyless systems there will be an emergency key that operates the lock usually in drivers door. It will be located in your remote somewhere,I think with ford you have to pop a cover off to get to it.

On to the problem have you got a spare key if so does that work? If not then you will be looking at a problem with the BCM and a code read will be next port of call.

Thanks  lot for advise. I will try to find key inside remote.

Thanks Mike Wilson, for help.
I solve the problem. Put the key inside keylock, and when door opened, suddenly start to function remote.
Like, the system was frozen. But one day how I solve and so far is OK. Hope will remain OK

Impressive!
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
