Hi Guys,
my galaxy is poorly, had a new turbo last year, emi just came on and in limp mode in 4,5 6 gear revs limited to 2000, paid garage for diagnostics, code 0299 present, turbo under boost pressure, garage cant find any leaks, any ideas? garage reckons it could be clogged up, would carbon cleaning be the answer or find a better garage, they dont fill me with confidence, thanks for any help

Good morning, madam. Have you tried changing the boost sensor? Could get a cheap second hand one from e-Bay and see if that works.

Also, have you checked that your "air filter" isn't clogged up with leaves and dirt?

Thank you, thank you very much.
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
