Hi all, my hand brake cable has snapped.(metal end)I have managed to manual move the hand brake by taking plastic off and pressing the latch.Looked on line and the cable is available to purchase.Any tips on fitting apart from taking the whole unit out.
Cheers

Hello wazevan my friend, I donââ,¬â,,¢t know if this helps but my handbrake cable went about two thirds of the way down the car then thereââ,¬â,,¢s a little spring and it splits off in a v shaped direction to each of the rear wheels. The cable was easily visible from under the car. I will also see if I can find any guides for u on the internet
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

My car is a mk3 Galaxy, its gor the handle pully for handbrake.
