08 galaxy confused

Hi all,just purchased 08 ghia.Bit confused on some things any help please.
Speedo goes up in 20 mph,no 30,50 etc.uts got marks but no numbers.
Door lower panel no light just reflector( driver/ passenger).
Do the lights need to b switched to light up the speedo.

Most cars need the lights on to make the speedo light up

20mph increments isnââ,¬â,,¢t unusual

Not all cars have puddle lights

Not sure, I think itââ,¬â,,¢s probably built into the speedo unit
