Hi,
Galaxy 2.0 tdci 56 plate air con not working even after recharge comes up with PO691 Code which clears and then comes back.

Cooling fan doesn't come on, never did from memory since i got car a few month back. The Cooling fan works when 12v is applied to it.

Im getting 12v across the main fan relay but nothing on the switch contacts. I donmt want to start pulling apart the wiring harness until someone can confirm if there's a known issue/fix.

Wondering if there's a common fault with these.

I did find a badly corroded wire in the engine compartment fuse box. Its the one at the left hand side of the fuse box rated at 60A. You have to remove air filter and slide a plastic panel of side of fusebox which reveals 3 teminals. The further away had broke off very badly corroded with verdigri. Re terminated it and the code now clears but still no air con.

Is it just me or is this just total french crap. Nothing on the mark 2's

There is a known issue with wiring failing behind bumper on passenger side on smax and galaxy. From memory itââ,¬â,,¢s purple or pink the main culprit that effects the fan operation.

Hi,

Any photos please ? And when you say wire fails, why ? does it rub thru or is ti water ingress ?

I was reading another thread that the mondoes/c-maxs have a similar problem and the wire harness affected runs on the nearside chassis leg.

Sorry no pictures but it is what you have read about, nearside area wire rubs and corrodes.
