Faulty cooling system after radiator n water pump changing

I bought Ford Galaxy 2008 , 1.8 Diesel model in Jan. Initially the cooling system was not working and found broken water pump. Changed the same in feb. This month beginning, I noticed the heating as down and while checking the coolant tank, I found brownish foam (rust). So changed radiator. But after that, whenever I stop the car, water leaks from the coolant tank as pressure is building up. The mechanic removed the thermostat but no changes and he suggested head gasket problem. I been to an engine specialist and he checked the engine and told the HG is fine. It could be something else

So with new water tank/pump and radiator still heating is not working. When i drive nearly 4 miles the temp guage comes to 90 and once I stop the car, the fan still run for 3-5 mins.

Any idea???

Afraid to say thatââ,¬â,,¢s gonna be head gasket/cracked head in my opinion.

The garage did the test and the colour hasnââ,¬â,,¢t changed . That garage is an expert in engine only. He says engine sounds fine and itââ,¬â,,¢s not sure head gasket as issue

You will struggle to get a modern diesel to fail the test unless you give it some revs while testing. My old PD gasket was totally failed but it still passed the test.

I have the same engine in a different car.  My fan _never_ runs except when a/c is working.  Even in traffic in 30+degrees last year, I never noticed it on.  The plumbing is not what you might expect on these, so I would check that everything is connected as it should be, not as you think it should.  IIRC (not reliable) the output from the engine (hot) goes to the bottom of the radiator.  Would also check the various temperature sensors.

Have to say I have never heard of head gasket failure on these motors.

Finally;  if you do not have conclusive _proof_ that the full cambelt system overhaul has been done in the last 100K miles, you need to get it done as a priority.  There are two belts and the bill is not going to be cheap, as various other components need to be changed and it's an 8 hour job at Ford.  Do _not_ use 125,000 miles as a service interval.  This is a maximum and failures commonly occur before that.

Thanks for that information. That sounds more possible.
Timing belt was changed three months back by myself.
So, new water pump, timing belt, radiator but still no heating.
I booked an appointment with halfords for this monday. Hope they find the fault

Both belts?  There is an internal one from the crankshaft to the HP pump and then another from there to the cam.  Many people do not know about the first one or assume there is a chain in there.

this is what Mike is talking about.
The cassette belt runs in oil.
