Tnx for the help
Matti

With the rear washer, can you hear the motor running? If so, the usual place that fails is in the lefthand side footwell, a pipe thats only pushed together pops apart and allows the water to soak the carpet instead of going to the rear screen.

Don't have the relay info to hand for a mk1, If i can find it I will post, but if both have failed, I'd be suspecting the wiper control is actually where your fault lies (the stalk on the steering column).

The rear wiper does practically nothing anyway, to be honest I wouldnââ,¬â,,¢t bother wasting time or money on it
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
