(2003 Mk.II 2.8 V6) I have a problem with the drivers door window control. It will lower the front & rear passenger windows but not raise them, it will not lower or raise the drivers window & the door locking switch does not work. I have looked at the wiring diagram & the Ford manual, & the switch seems to be supplied from fuse 75. I cannot find fuse 75! Does anybody know where this fuse is or have any other ideas what might be the fault?

Hi and  [W4] to the forum.
Your problem is more likely broken wiring in the door to pillar gaiter.
fuse 75 is indeed for the electric windows, it's a maxi fuse and is accessed by removing lower trim panel then removing layer 1 & 2 of the central junction box.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice. When we get a reasonable period of good weather in the West of Scotland ;) I will have a look at the wiring loom.

Hi Garth,

Did you get this sorted in the end? My Galaxy has just started pretty much exactly the same symptoms. After my drivers lock broke none of the windows will rise up from any of the switches. The switches lower them fine. Fortunately, the auto-close function works from the passenger's door lock!

Did you get your issue sorted and if so, what did it take?

Hi Kevin,

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. The problem was eventually found to be a broken wire in the drivers door wiring loom. Fixed by my local garage and all now works :-)

Cheers, Garth
