Hi all,
The two front cross members that run from the chassis to the outter (inner) seals under the footwells need replacing.
Does anyone know where these are available from as I can't find any online.
It would be much easier to replace the panels than repair.
Cheers,
Po79.

I HAVE SEEN THEM ON ANOTHER SITE---BUT BOUGHT FROM VW, SO WONT BE CHEAP !!

sorry caps were on.....I re-done my offside outrigger with 1.5mm steel, measured 10"square before folding it to shape.

I wondered why you was shouting at me!  :)
Yeah when I couldn't find any pattern ones I thought it would probably be genuine only.
In fact there doesn't seem to be many patten panels available, suprising given the age of the cars.
I don't mind making up panels but it's time consuming.
Cheers,
Po79.

I recently replaced one. I bought both sides from VW and it was €56 each (about 62 pound).
I own a MK1 1999 2.3 DOHC Ghia & 2003 1.9TDI Trend.

I just fabricated the parts that needed replacing, without cutting the whole thing out.
