Is there a sticky or something in the knowledge base about the interior lights?

I don't seem to be alone not having interior lights, my glovebox light and map light work so I have power to the circuit, indeed the fuses are all fine.

I am at the stage where I think it must be the timer control in the fuse box which leads me to believe I need a new fuse box as the timer is integrated (think that's right?) either that or bypass it somehow to just activate from the switches.

Before I start ripping the fusebox out....anyone have any ideas or knowledge that would be of use?

Anyone fixed the same issue?

There's two fuses for the interior lights

Number 53 10amp
Number 55  5 amp

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

Cheers, so based on my fuse box map on the fusebox cover the vertical strip of small fuses are 51-62 making the green arrow 53 and the blue arrow 55 but that is 30amp in the 53 slot and 5amp in the 55 slot. Both are not blown however.

In addition to get to the fuses I unplugged the connector in the orange circle, this stopped all the interior lights from working, when plugged back in the map and glovebox light started working again.

Assume the fuses even though incorrect in slot 53 are ok given they are not blown, unless I am not looking at the right fuses?

Anyone know what the connector does?

That will be main power in to that row of fuses,probably originates from battery fuse box.

Looking at the wiring diagram the 5 amp fuse has the connection with the door switches and control module, the 10 amp or 30 amp feeds the interior lamps.
Try checking number 55 fuse socket for power if you haven't done so already, think I would replace that 30 with a ten, I know it wont cure your problem but for safety's sake.

Will be swapping the 30 with a 10 when I can find my box of fuses....and find my multi meter! Cheers chris
