Hi,
I have some issues with grip and spinning.
Changing the suspensions is an option for eibach or KH spring lowering 35 to 45mm and of course some good shock absorbers.
Any help will be appreciated.

It might be worth checking your tyres load rating first - the Galaxy generally uses xl rated tyres, and if its on standard ones the handling can be awful. If your on the standard tyres then the correct rating should be shown inside the fuel filler cap door.

Hi Brianh

I my case i use the 17" whells with Michelin PS4 225/45/17 94W extra load with the pressure recomended by the manual (which is in german BTW).  2.8 bar front and 2.6 bar rear.....
My problem is between 2000/3000 RPM where i have 410nm and is not easy to deal with especialy with wet drive.

RM

You only have 410nm @ full throttle..........

I'm not sure that load rating is quite sufficient, mine shows 95 as the recommended, though that may be down to the size of tyres being different. I've got 97 rated ones on mine (16" wheels), and they handle like they should do, previous one was fine with 95 rating as well though that had 15" wheels.

Whatââ,¬â,,¢s the current suspension set up and is it in good condition, any leaking or worn shocks etc?

Hi to all.

Yes the suspension is not leaking but of course i will change the shock absorders because i dont know if they are ok sisnce the car have 240000 km and i have it only for one year.
The manual of my galaxy refer that the 17" tyres are 94 load and not 97 as 16" and i use good tyres and not chinesse ones (Michelin PS4 in this case).
I bought the whells with Kormoran tyres and i have a big diference now with the Michelins.
I know there are lots of kits to lower this cars and im asking if is just for looking or for safety too?

RM

Hi Mike,

Power is @4700
Torque is @2000 RPM.

RM

It's a fact.  Otherwise our tyres would last even less time, fuel would disappear like water down a large plughole and we would be travelling everywhere at a great, uncontrollable rate of knots.  Of course, some people do drive like that...

Wrong,

In fact i have a very low consumption.
Driving very carefully of course and with no smoke at all.
And of course if needed..... ::)

I think we have a language problem. 8 -)

The figures you see on a torque/BHP versus rpm graph are taken at full throttle.  That is, they are the maximum available at those RPM.  So when you say you have 410Nm @ 2000 rpm, that is the maximum available.  At lower throttle openings, it will be less.

My Megane 1,5 DCi have a consumption less than 4,0 liters/100km.
Do you think this is possible at full thortlle?

But at full thortlle yes its very dangerous to drive the car.
And its very easy lost control in wet drive.
