hi a stupid question really needto do a oil change on a galaxy 2005 1.9 tdi needto buy an oil filter removal tool not sure what size I need they've got one in halfords 76mm not sure if that's right cheersl

I used a Halfords adjustable oil filter wrench for the plastic top oil filter, looks like water pump pliers with a different grip area... worked a treat

I use big water pump pliers which works fine when used gently on the filter caps. Just make sure when tightening up you only go about 20 degrees once cap has tightened down against housing by hand.
