In front of battery to left of screenwash filler, assuming yours is same as my mark 2 1.9tdi was anyway

Cheers mate. Horrible clunky grinding sound when steering at low speed. I'll try easy stuff first lol

Always good place to start if thatââ,¬â,,¢s ok jack it up and check ball joints, track rod ends etc. Also the strut top bearing my nearside one was noisy as hell before I sold the old gal.

It's got it's MOT on 14th. My butt is puckered.
Also did yours ever make a slight scraping sound when the bite point was engaged? I've been quoted 610 for a solid flywheel conversion including fitting and vat

No mine didnââ,¬â,,¢t make that noise never had any issues with the clutch.

Know that feeling mine scraped through last July and thatââ,¬â,,¢s the main reason I sold it as this year welding would have been needed to outriggers and on the back somewhere near a suspension mounting point.

If you haven't done it already, the dipstick has two sides for checking the level with hot or cold engine. I've just topped mine up a fair bit so I might have a bit of a leak. Mine has always been a bit noisy generally especially at limits of steering. I'm not sure how strict the oil spec is for the steering. I was at a Ford dealer buying scarily expensive gearbox oil so just picked up the steering fluid at the same time.

Good luck for MOT.
