Just Inherited a Galaxy

Hi Folks, I just inherited a Galaxy Ghia 1.9TDi 150.
It drives great but has a number of annoying issues to sort.
Central locking and an intermittent ABS warning light are chief amongst these.
Drives beautifully and is really comfortable. If I can sort the niggles I'll be over the moon!

Welcome!

ABS warning light could be a wheel sensor or the reluctor ring - first step is to get hold of a vcds lead and find out which wheel has the problem or if its something else (given its intermittent its probably a fault at the wheel end rather than elsewhere).

Central locking problems are not unusual - Check your door wiring in the gaiters (common issue on these as you will find out!)

Thanks for the advice.
I've obtained a lead and located that the ABS issue is with the front right wheel. Just need to find the time to whip off the wheel and check out the sensor/reluctor ring.
As for central locking, I've checked in the door gaiters and there are no obvious breaks. VCDS shows the following errors:
01145 -  Central Locking Motors; Unlock Rear Doors        29-10 -  Short to Ground - Intermittent
01179 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs        35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent
01146 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs        29-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

As I can't afford to register VCDS-Lite atm I looked up the other codes on Ross-Tech. The second code is key programming (My spare refuses to program so that figures) but the third code (01146) isn't listed, so if anyone knows what it is it would be really helpful.
Any ideas on what to do next appreciated. Im considering taking off the door cards and checking the resistance of the wires to see if any are broken/degraded inside the insulation. Any other suggestions are most welcome.

Firstly - you will get more helpful input if you continue the post in the tech section rather than here, as more people will see it.

I'd suggest you check the boot gaiter if you haven't already done so, Next step would be to disconnect the lock motors one at a time and see if you can get whatever it doesn't do to work (You haven't said whats not happening, and continuing the post here isn't the best way for you to get an answer anyway, use this bit instead https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/ford-galaxy-vw-sharan-seat-alhambra/ )

Oops, hadn't realised I was in the wrong section. Thanks. I'll post there.
