AC problems

MY AC stopped blowing cold air, it was quite warm!   My garage tells me that there is voltage to the compressor but its clutch will not engage, so a replacement compressor is needed.

I have read about similar problems where there was voltage to a compressor but its clutch would not engage due to a wiring fault.  Once that fault was traced and rectified, the AC worked OK.  Why is this? [NE1]

If you have voltage to compressor but itââ,¬â,,¢s not engaging then you donââ,¬â,,¢t have a wiring fault?

If you 100% have voltage to the clutch try some wd40 and a rubber mallet as the clutches can stick sometimes. Failing that find a decent 2nd hand one and just swap clutch over so you donââ,¬â,,¢t need to regas etc
