I'm in the throws of stripping down my wiper spindles, Passenger side was heavily corroded drivers side almost pristine !  ... just two questions....
1.  CV grease (i have to buy) or copper grease ... (I have loads ) ?
2. Can you buy the rubber O ring

CV Grease is needed i'm afraid, copper grease is an anti seizing compound not a lubricant.

No, although its only a rubber washer for weather sealing so a good plumbers merchant should have an alternative. I found mixer tap end washers to be very similar

I know copperis anti seize but when I did mine I used it after a good clean up and it worked fine for the 2 years I kept the car.

Might be another vehicle use for this stuff.

There are a few different varieties, this is just the first one that popped up.  I've found it to be invaluable in areas (mainly, so far, on motorcycles) that are subject to heavy road spray.
