The front o/s door handle wont work and the door has to be opened from the inside. How do I get it off?

Sorry I changed the details its mk2 02reg 1.9tdi in spruce green. I didnt know much about galaxys till I had to start working on this one.

No problem

To remove just the outer door handle, with the door open look down the edge of the door you will see a single torx screw parallel  with the handle, remove the screw then slide handle towards the front then pull handle outwards

It is the little plastic hook that operates the latch that has snapped. Can this be replaced or do I have to buy the hole handle less the lock?

The complete handles are available on ebay, you just need to measure the paddle length or you may be able to swap bits over if necessary.

The paddle is the part  that engages into the lock to lock/unlock with the key, there are three different lengths,

Yes you need the key in the barrel while changing over.
Make a note how the spring and paddle fit as it's fiddly to refit.

I have a broken drivers door lock paddle and was going to ask for help, surprising what the search comes up with.

Not sure whether to start a new post or not.
I've had a look on ebay for a kit or exterior door handle with no luck.
Any chance someone has one tuck away?
I've included a photo of my paddle.

I've made an offer on one.
It's been a pain to have to keep bending to unlock with the boot lock.
My key remote is a bit of hit-and-miss, The little circular discs inside do not always click.

Hi! I have this issue quite a lot, given the fact that i save at least 2 of these a month from the scrapper and get them back on the road. I get a cheap handle from ebay, about Ã,£10 for it, (drivers side at least). Its not the best quality, and the paddle is too long usually. I grind the paddle down to fit, and that saves me a lot of work. You also get 2 keys with it, so its a cheap fix. If you're lucky enough to have a fob, you dont even mind it. Works great, and its easy and cheap. Hope it helps anyone.
