Hazard warning lights

I'm after some advice please, we've checked fuses and relays inside the car as well as under the bonnet all are ok.
There is no power going to the hazard switch my indicators also dont work none of the interior lights come on and the remote unlocking doesn't work.If I put my key in the door it unlocks drivers door only I cannot open any door even from inside one rear door has child lock on as well. VCDS gets no response from the central locking but has in the past.I can open the tailgate with the key also. Could this be a door loom/tailgate loom problem?

Recheck the purple 3 amp fuse in the battery fuse box.

Done that and even put a new one in and still the same.

It sounds like the deadlocking has become active - Most likely broken wires somewhere in one of the door looms, first thing is to check the doors you can get to open for broken wires. It may be a problem in the drivers door loom if your lucky, Since you can get to that as it is I'd start investigating there first. Lack of response from the controller suggests its not getting any power, so its possible a fuse has blown to cause issues.

It's looking like the control unit in with the fuses and relays. Borrowing one to try before buying one. Can they just be plugged in? Or will it need to be coded for alarm central locking etc?
I've got vcds and run a full scan when everything was working and that does display some codes for each of the components but never tried anything else.

You might need to code it for the remote fob to work, but would expect the central locking functions to work at least. You should as a bare minimum get it to communicate with VCDS if thats what the cause of the problem is.

Bear in mind the way some of the wires break can short together and could well cause issues like this (they rarely cause fuses to blow in this state either). The tailgate is the worst one for doing it and can cause rather random symptoms when it happens.

Finally got it sorted!! Using a wiring diagram and a lot of head scratching it was traced back to a broken wire in the plug that goes from the fuses under the bonnet and then goes into the main fuse box.

Not any signs of melting or burning there is there? they are known to fail due to poor joints, the thicker two wires at the top particually. Best fix is to solder those two connections, preferably before the fusebox goes into meltdown so you don't have to replace it!

It was the plug wires which fasten slightly lower on the right hand side of the fuse board. I know what you mean though about the others. There are 3 red ones and it was one of those that had snapped.
