03 Ford Galaxy Speedometer stopped working

I have a Galaxy MK2 1.9 TDI Auto  03 plate
The speedometer stopped working and I have checked evertything about earth's etc
spent 3 days checking things but cant seem to get reasonable help
can you help ?

It might be worth a scan with a diagnostic unit to see if it will confirm it, but its possible the sender on the gearbox might have stopped working. Is it just the speedometer or the whole dashboard?

If its the whole dashboard the fusebox in the engine bay (down the front near the battery area) is known to overheat and melt, typically one of the things this affects is the dashboard.
