Hi,

I have had a 02 Galaxy TDI with a Multi function steering wheel since 2011. But now, I will sell it because I've changed to a '06 Galaxy 2.8 V6. My V6 doesn't have a MFSW though and I will definately miss that option.

Is it easy to change out? Both have the same NAV/Radio.
I've already found out how to remove the airbag, I understand I have to change out the ring behind the wheel, I understand I will have to change the stalk with the non-MFSW cruisecontrolswitches. But will the wiring loom fit or can it be easily adapted? Do I need other components? Where would they be located and would that cause wiring problems?
The idea was to complely switch out alle components needed but in both cars the Cruisecontrol and airbag still need to work.

Hope anyone can help! Thanks in advance!

The wiring loom for MFSW is different, you also need the controller as this handles the commands for the wheel and the horn. Its doo-able but you'll need to be good with wiring as its definitely not a plug and play job.

I am able wo wire things myself, but I don't have time to do much, car has to sell soon. Plus I like to keep things original on my daily driver for the family. I own a couple of hobby cars in  which I have made a completely new loonm for the entire car.

So it is not just about changing part of the loom from underdash to steering wheel? Preferably with a plug ;)
