Can anybody tell me if it's a straight fwd job on 2008 2.0 tdci Galaxy please.

Thanks

Straight forward to blank but it will give management light as it has feedback to ecu.
3 options

1 clean out and leave if causing issue

2 blank and map out

3 fit partial blank so it reduces the crap that goes through.

Would I have to take the complete valve off to blank out ?. I have heard they are difficult to get to .
Thanks.

No just blank at the pipe that comes from exhaust manifold, can be done at either end just go for the easiest one

Just remember it's now an MoT failure to mess with the EGR so make sure it's not obvious!

I partially blanked my x type with 2.0 tdci ford engine had the blank in for about 10k miles and didnââ,¬â,,¢t notice and major difference, however when having manifold off to change glow plugs I removed the blank. The engine now seems to run better there was a slight hesitation on gear change which is now gone. Also the puff of smoke on hard acceleration has also stopped. Suppose I will have to just clean the damn thing every so often now.

My 1.8 was the other way round.  Seriously dangerous hesitation on moving off.  Blanking removed that completely, with the only change being a noticeable increase in the warming up time.
