When I start my Gal I get a squealing / crunchy noise for about a second after releasing the key. It's not doing it at any other time but dunno what could be causing it? I checked the oil level and belts etc could it be the starter itself? It starts first time everytime?  ??? ???

Probably alternator clutch pulley seizing up.
You should be able to turn the fan blades in one direction only with very little effort without removing drive belt.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

Possibly as above but most times that also shows up under full lock of the steering. Could it be the starter sticking on?
