The above fault code came up when aux heater recently tested. Is this likely to be a failed Glow Plug? Is correct replacment Beru0001?

Hello and  [W4]

Beru GH001 may well be what you have fitted however the later Mk2 can be fitted with a ceramic plug with wires attached, the only real way to know is to lower heater then remove covers to expose glow plug.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

But also don't just focus on the glow plug. I was also getting Repeated Flame Out errors and (so far) it looks to have been a faulty metering pump causing fuel supply problems.

Thank you for your inputs. Have just purchased Beru GH001 100 226 340. Am hopefully going to have a go to change this evening...fingers crossed. Will let you know.

Once new glow plug fitted will faults require clearing down before it works (Hopefully) again?
